First Impressions

I've been thinking about first impressions today.  Although people put a lot of weight on first impressions-I'm sure glad that God doesn't.  He seems to be the master at erasing those ugly first impressions.  He sees beyond our sinful nature and countless shortcomings. But, on the other hand, God created us and knows what we look like in a "perfected" way.  So perhaps because of God's foresight and supreme desire to be in relationship with us, He in essence does put a lot of emphasis on first impressions.  His first impression of us is as a holy righteous individual.  (I think)  If He is my Creator, and knit me in my mother's womb-then He has a clear vision of who I really am.  God also sees our hearts.  And even if we give off a bad first, second, third impression to those around us- God has an inside view of all that is under the surface.  The Fruit of the Spirit is...Joy.
