I'll Never Be the Same Again

Today in church Gregg spoke with emotion and wisdom of how the Gospel really is Good News. If you're like me, sometimes you tend to determine the quality and effectiveness of the message by how many tears fall. Today was a wipe away the tears with your hands and then ask for a kleenex, because the tears just won't stop kind of day. As I looked around after service and saw many people still stuck in the pews with misty eyes, some with tear stained cheeks-I was once again reminded how in just a relatively small group of people there is so much pain and so much redemption.

In open worship I wrote these words: I thank you Lord for these tears of joy and compassion. Lord, I have experienced the Good News-I have felt your redemption and love. I've lived and breathed in Your acceptance and mercy. Today my tears fall for those who are still on their face-for those who don't know You or who have yet to believe in Your grace-for those still walking around in grave clothes, for those still in denial that You have anything to offer. Lord, I want more of you. I want to express my love and commitment to You. Thank You that I KNOW I'll never be the same again.

Very cool!!

Michelle, I was moved reading this. I love what you wrote during open worship, the sense of being thankful and wanting more of God's Spirit. Thanks for writing what God is doing in you!
