Is anything getting done today?

Why, yes, actually, there is a lot getting done today. Unfortunately for the regular viewers of the construction cam, all the work is being done in the garage area this morning.

1. Once the lumber was delivered, the 1500lb glu-lam beam was jacked up into place and the 4x6" posts placed underneath.
2. After that, the inside garage wall had to be sheeted with 4x10' sheets of 7/16" OSB to form a sheer wall to prevent the house from falling by the wall being allowed to rotate along the wall length. This requires a lot of nails.
3. Then there was lots of measuring and snapping of chalk lines to mark the joist hanger locations.
4. Right after lunch, the joists are being mounted to form the top floor over the garage.
